Something’s Brewing at Bowgie Inn this August…

We’re getting ready to raise a glass or two – and we’d love you to join us!

Our annual Ale & Cider Festival is back at Bowgie Inn from Friday 22nd to Monday 25th August, and we’re pulling out all the stops to make it our biggest and best yet.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Crantock Bay, it’s four days of proper Cornish celebration – with incredible local drinks, delicious food, brilliant live music and a whole lot of community spirit.

And best of all? Every pint poured helps raise money for Cornwall Hospice Care, a charity that’s very close to our hearts.

Last year, thanks to the generosity of our amazing visitors, we raised over £6,500 – and this year, we’re hoping to do even better. Entry is free, and we’ll have welcome packs available on the door, with all proceeds going straight to the charity.

What’s on Tap?

We’ve handpicked some of the best brewers, cider makers and distillers in the South West – including St Austell Brewery, Sharp’s, Goodh Brewing Co, Atlantic Brewery, Healey’s and Jolly’s Drinks. From refreshing golden ales to fruity summer ciders, there’s something for everyone.

On Friday 22nd, we’re also hosting a special tasting afternoon with Southwestern Distillery, the team behind Tarquin’s Gin, Twin Fin Rum, and Tinner Bros Whisky – a chance to try something new and meet the people who make it!

Music, Games & Festival Vibes

We’ve got a fantastic line-up of live music across the weekend, including performances from Newquay Rowing Club Singers, Avalon, Black Velvet, and The Claze – with a fireworks display on the Sunday night. There’ll be a silent disco, garden games, apple bobbing, a bit of Smite (Cornwall’s version of boules!), and our much-loved Festival Pub Quiz to round things off on Monday night.

Whether you’re here for the ales, the atmosphere or just the view, we’d love to see you.

Come and enjoy a brilliant weekend, celebrate Cornwall’s incredible drink scene – and help us support the work of Cornwall Hospice Care at the same time!
