June in Crantock always feels a little bit magical. The village settles into that sweet spot before the full swing of summer – the days are longer, the sea starts warming up, the sunsets get better by the week, and there’s still space to enjoy the beaches, coast paths, and village atmosphere at a slower pace.

Poppy Season in Crantock

And then there’s the poppies of course! If you’ve visited Crantock in early summer before, you’ll know just how incredible the poppy fields can look this time of year.

The bright red blooms have become one of the village’s most photographed sights, attracting visitors from all over to catch a glimpse of the fields in full colour.

While they’re undeniably beautiful, we’d also encourage everyone to enjoy them responsibly so they can be protected for everyone to enjoy throughout the season.
