04 Jun If you love Gin, you need to read this!
Did you know that the Bowgie bar is stocked with an incredible selection of Cornish gins – over 30 different varieties of mother’s ruin which are all lovingly distilled and bottled around the county?!
We are very proud to support local producers and suppliers at Bowgie. Many of the Cornish distilleries whose gin we serve are small, independent and family-owned where every bottle is created by hand, labelled and signed by the distiller. We know you love the different stories that accompany each locally produced brand and bottle, so here are a couple of our favourites – Kernow bys vyken!
We serve six varieties of Atlantic Distillery gin and they are all delicious! Based in Newquay, Atlantic Distillery is a family-run business passionate about environmental preservation. They use botanicals grown on-site or sourced locally which means their gins have distinct, Cornish flavours inspired by the landscape. We recommend trying the Gorsedh, made from local gorse flowers, next time you visit! The Smoked Green Tea Gin is also a must-try!
Then there is a more unique flavour, that couldn’t be more Cornish… Cream Tea Gin by G&Tea. Made with Cornish Strawberries, Hibiscus, Rose hips and black tea, it celebrates the afternoon delights of a traditional Cornish cream tea and is perfect for anyone looking for a sweeter flavour.
We are proud stockists of Tarquin’s, and their abundance of flavours including Rhubarb and Raspberry, Strawberry and Lime, Blackberry, Grapefruit and Elderflower, Cornish Sea Dog – Navy Strength, as well as lots of new additions including: Blood Orange, – Cornish Sunshine, Black Cherry, Festive Figgy Pudding, Pressed Apple, Pink Lemon, Grapefruit and Peppercorn, Passionfruit and Peach and Raspberry and Mango.
Another fantastic addition to our gin line-up includes St Sithney’s Gin – a new, premium artisanal gin! St Sithney has a bold, original flavour and refreshing zest, perfect for all the gin connoisseurs out there.

Whether you like your gin as a double over ice, in a cut crystal tumbler, or in a fish bowl glass, garnished with edible violet flowers and paired with refreshing Fever Tree tonic water – we have got you covered for those lazy Saturday afternoons spent at Bowgie Inn looking out at our unbeatable view.
There are so many styles around now, it’s exciting to try something new and our local Cornish distilleries are producing some world-class gins so you know it will be a good choice! From spicy to floral, peppery to citrus; we’re confident that Cornwall has a gin for everyone, and we will have your perfect bottle on our shelf. Pair your thirst quencher with a refreshing salad, alongside a hearty Sunday roast, or simply follow it with another G&T!
We even serve a Pitcher of Turbo Pimms which is Pimms for Gin lovers – turbo-charged with 50ml of Tarquin’s Cornish Dry Gin in your Jug of Pimms. Have a look at our Cocktails-Pitchers section on the Bowgie App.
With over 30 gins to choose from, including: Tarquin’s from Padstow, Atlantic Jynevra from Atlantic Distillery in Newquay, Wrecking Coast, St Ives Gin and Trevethan, you’ll find yourself spoilt for choice, struggling to choose and perhaps a little tipsy!
