There’s something about this time of year at Bowgie. The days start stretching out a little longer, the sunsets hit differently, and the clifftop slowly comes back to life. It’s the season of post-work drinks in the sun, spontaneous visits after a walk along the coast path, and evenings that somehow turn into staying for “just one more.”

This April, we’re leaning into all of that – and doing something a little extra for our local community.

Introducing Bowgie Locals Night

On Wednesday 22nd April from 6pm, we’re hosting Bowgie Locals Night – a relaxed evening of iconic surf films, good food, drinks and great company.

It’s a chance to bring everyone together on the clifftop. Whether you’re coming straight from the beach, finishing work for the day, or just fancy an easy evening with friends, this is one to add to the diary.

We’ll be screening a selection of classic surf films throughout the night, celebrating the culture and coastline that make this part of Cornwall so special.

And, we will be launching the Bowgie Locals Pass!

We know the bottom car park is used by many – surfers, walkers, visitors to the beach, and whilst parking is free for 4 hours during the winter, we wanted to make those visits for the locals even easier, all year round! Yes – the Local’s Pass gives Cornwall residents free parking at Bowgie for 12 months!

How to Get Your Locals Pass

Getting your pass is simple – just come along on the 22nd April and:

• Spend £20 or more on food or drink
• Bring your V5 vehicle document registered to a Cornwall postcode
• Show both on the night

That’s it – you’ll receive your 12-month Bowgie parking pass there and then.

A Night for the Community

While the surf films set the tone, this night is really about the people. Surfers, swimmers, walkers, dog walkers, local workers, families – anyone who feels connected to this stretch of coastline is welcome.
