October is World Vegetarian Month; we don’t really know why but everything else seems to have a dedicated ‘month’ so why not Vegetarianism? We suppose veggies are just as entitled as any other group and October seemed as good a month as any.
You see, veggies are living amongst us. Everyday you probably meet a vegetarian without even realising it. They might look like normal people, they may even seem happy but believe us, their struggle is very real.
Finding delicious vegetarian food when they go out to eat isn’t always easy. Some places think a bowl of chips is an adequate option for vegetarians and although we appreciate veggies might enjoy the odd chip or two, they want something far more satisfying and quite frankly we think they deserve it.
That’s why every day many hungry vegetarians come to The Bowgie Inn, Crantock. Their rumbling stomachs can be satisfied by the delicious range of vegetarian options on our menu. From mouthwatering curries to juicy veggie burgers and piled high ploughmans. From toasties to quiche, lasagne, cauliflower cheese, jacket potatoes and even a vegetarian Sunday Roast it’s clear vegetarians can eat well here.
So during World Vegetarian Month we encourage you to indulge in all things veggie and spread the legume love right here at the Bowgie… but don’t worry if you fancy a steak – you can still have one of those too!
