November is World Vegan Month and the campaign kicked off on the 1st of November to encourage people to go Vegan for a whole 30 days!
Apart from soya milk curdling in coffee, we can’t really find any other downsides…with numerous benefits for health and the planet, in addition to animal welfare, you can see why veganism is growing in popularity. In fact, these days it no longer means all you can eat is a lettuce. There are so many delicious alternatives available, you probably won’t miss meat or cheese at all…going vegan is relatively easy. Plus, we’ve been checking the labels of some of our favourite biscuits and treats and it turns out some of them are vegan and we didn’t even realise it! So next time you nibble a bourbon or dunk a hobnob, you are virtually half way to being a vegan (unless you dip them in a glass of milk).
To support people embarking on their vegan journey here at The Bowgie Inn, Crantock, we’ve put together a few special vegan dishes of our own. So next time you pop come to see us, check the special’s board for vegan dishes including homemade vegan curry and vegan cottage pie. If you’re taking part in the ‘go vegan’ challenge let us know how you get on. You can find out more about the challenge here
