On Wednesday the 25th May, it is National Wine Day. To celebrate this momentous occasion we will most probably be drinking wine. Lots of lovely, cold crisp, refreshing wonderful wine.
We invite you to do the same here at The Bowgie Inn, Crantock! Here’s our line up of wines to tempt you….
Now there’s not really much else to say on the subject so instead, we thought we would share some of our favourite wine memes with you.
1. Wine Bed.
We think this beats a water bed hands down. In fact we’re going to order one now and see if it can be delivered in time for National Wine Day.
2. Eat Pasta Drink Wine.
We hear you sister! Sometimes in life, you stand at a fork in the road and you need to make a decision; wine and pasta or being size zero. Life is short. At the end of it all are you going to look back and be thankful for your thigh gap or be thankful for all the laughs you had over a slap up meal and a glass of wine?
3. You can Dance!
Some people say wine gives us the confidence we need to succeed. Others say it lies to us and makes us look stupid….We say, as long as everyone else is also drinking wine it doesn’t matter!
4. 50/50.
Luckily we serve both at The Bowgie.
5. Wine in The Bath.
We’ve all done it. It makes us feel sophisticated.
6. Mini Wine.
Ever had that awful dream when you become the only giant in a world of tiny people and there isn’t enough wine in the world to fill a normal sized glass? No? Just us?
7. Age like wine.
See? Being like wine is a good thing…no one wants to be old milk.
8. TBT.
In this age of social media, we all love throw back Thursday and flashback Friday especially when the throwing back involves wine and the flashbacks involve more wine.
9. Hero.
We used to spend hours pondering what our super power would be if we were ever to become a superhero. Then we saw this man.
10. Calculations.
The Calculations never lie… or should we say the catculations?
We hope this has been a source of inspiration for all those considering celebrating Wine Day! We hope to see you at The Bowgie Inn where we can all raise a glass to the grape producers of the world…. but not the ones who turn their grapes into raisins…what a waste.
