In a perfect world, everything we ever ate, drank or wore would be of Cornish origin.
Though not impossible, in practise, this is rather tricky but here at The Bowgie, we are doing our bit to bring everyone a step closer to this reality by introducing even more Cornish produce into our range.
We are proud to now be serving Mena Dhu; a Cornish stout from St Austell Brewery. It’s based on an original (and might we add delicious) Cornish recipe. It is named after the farm owned by Walter Hicks who founded St Austell Brewery and it is Cornish for ‘Black Hill’. If it’s refreshment you’re after Cornish style, then this is the tipple for you.
Another new line to our Cornish produce range is Korev, the long awaited Cornish Lager from St Austell Brewery. It’s been 160 years in the making but we think it has been worth the wait. Pale in colour, crisp in taste and the official lager of Surfing GB…there’s no wonder it’s proving so popular.
Combine these two new drinks to our range of Cornish ales (a long favourite of ours is of course, Doom Bar!) ciders, tea and local food here at The Bowgie Inn, Crantock, we’re most definitely Cornish produce a-go-go! Come and join us in celebrating all things Cornish (including John Nettles) and see how good it feels to be supporting local businesses and producers.
