So we’re half way through January and the blues are really beginning to kick in. We decided to cheer ourselves up by looking back on Christmas 2015 at The Bowgie Inn, Crantock.
One of the most memorable days was when the VW Transporter South West Christmas Cruise posse rocked up for lunch at The Bowgie.
They are a fun and friendly bunch and when it comes to celebrating the Christmas season, they pull out all the stops and that meant we had a spectacular visual festive feast of novelty earrings, christmas jumpers and Decorated VW’s like this one…
There was plenty of merriment to be had and we made sure we kept it topped up with good pub grub and a well stocked bar.
As we sit here looking through the photo album (click here to see it on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153894241004260.1073741869.192726279259&type=3) we can’t help but smile – we love the humble camper!
This group’s shared love of the camper van transporter takes them off on all sorts of adventures together, leading to shared experiences, memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. We began to wonder if VW realised what power their vehicles would hold over the people who drive them…. then we saw the last couple of pictures in the album; the rainbow!
As we looked at this beautiful scene, the answer became clear. Of course VW realised because they filled each engine with magic dust; how else can such a rainbow be explained?
This was not just any rainbow either. This was the mother of all rainbows, it was a double rainbow and it beamed brightly as it arched over the rows of camper vans in our car park. The pink pub on the headland became even more colourful when the VW Transporter SW Christmas Cruise came to town and that warm fuzzy glow they left behind has brought smiles to our January.
