Firstly, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2024 Ale & Cider Festival on August bank holiday weekend. We had a great time, we hope you did too!

We are still a bit exhausted, but it was such a fun weekend for all of the Bowgie team. The sunshine came out, we had delicious ales and ciders to try, there were fireworks and pasties and we enjoyed amazing performances from local musicians.

What more could you want from a summer bank holiday!?

The Ale & Cider Festival was in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care and we raised…£6509.11!

Sally and Tish have been raising money for CHC for over 10 years now, through hikes, themed nights and 8 Ale Festivals to date. After this year’s event, the total raised for the charity by the Bowgie is £56,000 – how amazing!

The Ale Fest in a few more numbers, just for fun…

-20 cask ales tapped
-1287 pints of ale and cider poured
-43 hotdogs, 23 Cornish pasties, 14 chilli and rice pots and 18 waffles!!!
-46 faces painted
-50 apples bobbed
-1000 fireworks
-885 raffle tickets sold
-45 prizes won

And a lot of cake was eaten!!
