At the Bowgie Inn, we serve up many matches made in heaven so as we now enter the month of love, we thought we would share our favourite partnerships with you.
1. Pie and Pints.
Crispy pastry, delicious steaming hot fillings, a potato accompaniment and all washed down with a cool, crisp pint. Now imagine enjoying such a partnership with the stunning views over Crantock in the background. You have to admit, it doesn’t get much better than that. Pie and Pint Night at The Bowgie every Thursday until 3rd March!
2. Steak and chips.
Juicy and tender cuts of meat, cooked to perfection in the Bowgie Kitchen served with a side of irresistible chips. This is happiness on a plate… add some mushrooms, a dollop of ketchup or pepper sauce and this becomes a team game rather than a partnership, but it still counts and on 13th February, you can enjoy an extra special Valentine’s Steak at The Bowgie <3
3. Gin and Tonic.
One doesn’t work as well without the other. We know there will be people out there reading this who totally disagree but it’s a fact. These two things were made for each other by the drink gods. This was a partnership that was always destined to be together. You might mix it up and go for a vodka and tonic every now and then but it’s not the same. The spark is missing. Try it and see what we mean!
4. Coffee and a giant Byron Bay Cookie
A coffee from The Bowgie Inn is good, but a coffee AND a Byron Bay cookie from The Bowgie Inn is even better. The coffee is the serious one in this relationship and the sweet, fun nature of the cookie balances and compliments those serious attributes. These two bring out the best in each other; what one lacks, the other makes up for in abundance.
5. Torville and Dean
OK, so this isn’t something we serve at The Bowgie Inn, but that 1984 bolero performance will be permanently etched in our memories. We think a good way of celebrating these ice skating legends is by bringing your other half along to our steak night. We’ve asked Christopher and Jane to come along too, but we’re still waiting to hear back from them.
