As we join the world in grieving the loss of the legendary BB King, we have found Blues music has become much bluer. It’s taken on a whole new meaning for us. It’s as if blues is the only music that understands us. Listening to it not only makes us want to dance but it makes us feel human too. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that ‘The Big Sets’ are playing here at The Bowgie Inn, Crantock on 20th June.
Dripping with Funk and seriously soulful, these guys really know what raising the roof is all about. With Jonny “Dr Funk” Rubin slappin’ the bass,
Christopher Hogg wailin’ vocals, Jake Landers churning out lick after lick on his guitar and John Smith screamin on the harp you won’t find blues this good outside the Deep South (incidentally they are from Sunderland – the second home of Blues).
