We couldn’t be closer to the ocean, in more ways than one. As well as overlooking the Atlantic, we have also just become a supporter of the Cornwall Good Seafood Guide.
The Cornwall Good Seafood Guide, run by The Cornwall Wildlife Trust, aims to provide clear and accurate information to help businesses and individuals alike make environmentally informed decisions when purchasing local caught seafood. The Cornish fishing industry thrives with a variety of fresh seafood, and we are now making sure every fish on your plate is sustainably-caught, Cornish and, of course, absolutely delicious!
We have recently added brand new fish dishes and flavours to our menu, from local online fishmonger Fish for Thought, based in Bodmin. Paired with delicious butters and marinades, many of which include local ingredients like Cornish Sea Salt and Cornish Seaweed, there’s a whole array of new seafood dishes for you to try and enjoy. Is there anything better than enjoying a fresh catch overlooking the sparkling sea as the sun goes down?
Joining the Cornwall Good Seafood Guide was an easy decision us as supporting local businesses, the environment and serving great pub food are all close to our heart. Charities like The Final Straw and The Cornwall Wildlife Trust are so important in helping to protect the sea and the animals that live there. It’s incredibly important to supply seafood which is sustainably-caught and support the Cornish fishing industry. We are delighted to be on board with Fish for Thought and the Cornwall Good Seafood Guide.
Order a glass of something chilled, select a delicious fish dish, settle back on the decking in the world’s best beer garden and relax in the knowledge that your dinner is fresh, environmentally-friendly and couldn’t be tastier!
