We rarely feel the need to leave Cornwall. Even the mere thought of crossing the Tamar Bridge gives us palpitations. So you can see that it has to be something extra-special to tempt us to cross the county line.
You might be wondering what that ‘something extra special’ could be.
Could it be a holiday?
Nope. Holidaying anywhere other than Cornwall would only lead to disappointment.
Could it be a relative in need of our assistance?
Nope. None of our relatives cross the Tamar either.
Could it be a 100m inflatable waterslide going through the streets of Chester?
Oh my days YES YES YES!
I’m sure you agree with us that the waterslide is a very tempting prospect, especially as it is raising money for two wonderful charities; Babygrow Appeal & Transformation for Veterans.
This is how it works: On Sunday September 13th 400 lucky people will be given the chance to experience the slide of their lives on a giant Water Slide in Lower Bridge Street, Chester. To be one of the chosen few (well, chosen 400 anyway) you have to entre the Chester City Slide Ballot at http://www.cityslide.co.uk/chester It costs only £2.50 to enter with £1.50 from each entry going directly to the two local charities. 400 lucky winners will be picked at random and will get the chance to ‘Slide for Charity’ as they take on the awesome Chester City Slide!
If you yourself can’t enter the draw maybe you know someone who lives nearer to the north pole (i.e. Salford) that might be interested in sliding joyously on a lilo through Chester city Centre. If so, do let them know, we’re sure they would be grateful of this life changing opportunity.
The Chester City Side Online Ballot will close on Monday 31st August 2015…. And for £2.50 we think it’s worth a pop. We’ve entered and we’re sure that when the time comes our love of waterslides will have helped us overcome our phobia of leaving Crantock.
