As we bid a lethargic farewell to a beautifully relaxed and slow-paced August, September jumps up and slaps us in the face bursting with energy like a playful puppy.

What with a seriously cool line up of live music over the last few weeks as well as the Ale and Cider Festival we hosted last weekend, we have done so well channelling our summer vibes here at The Bowgie Inn, Crantock that we weren’t ready for what September brings.

Although we’re not quite ready to ditch the flip flops just yet, we are preparing for colder times to come and have even reminded ourselves how to fasten the zip on our hoodie.
To mentally prepare ourselves for the Autumn, we decided to list what it is that makes Cornwall so special this time of year. Read on to see if you agree.

1. Windswept walks.
Walking is good all year round, but September weather promises ‘windswept walking’ which is even better! Cobwebs are well and truly blown away and we quite enjoy the crazy hair and cold noses that accompany us on our gusty strolls. 2. Surfing.
the colder weather really separates the wheat from the chaff when it comes to surfers. During the summer, our beaches are flooded with surfers that look the part. But as the season changes and the temperature drops we are left with the hardier individuals who brave the colder waters for some serious surf action. 3. Music at The Bowgie!
If the beautiful freshness of the outdoors doesn’t really float your boat, the live music line-up this September at The Bowgie Inn as well as the Friday Night’s Revisited Grunge Night on the 25th September is sure to get you going again after your lazy August. With Cool as ****, Not the Beatles, Idle Hands and Black Velvet to look forward to over the next few weeks alone, you can see why we’re excited about this month.

Yup, there sure is loads to look forward to at The Bowgie Inn this month, so when you stat to miss the joys of summer get a grip! September’s going to be brilliant!
