We’ve collected 30 Cornish gins over the past year and they have all earned their places on the Bowgie bar shelves – from famous Tarquins to artisan bottles of Wrecking Coast of Tintagel. We love taking time to pair them perfectly with the ideal mixer and garnish. Gin for the win!!
Going to the beach everyday (if you can!)
Vitamin Sea is good for your soul and there’s no better place to soak it up than a Cornish beach. That feeling of calm that washes over you every time your toes are in the sand is not a coincidence…Kick off your shoes daily and take a wander.
Taking a dip in the sea at every opportunity
Cold water swimming has long been known to alleviate stress and low moods. The ocean is the best place to wash away your worries, boost your energy levels and make you feel alive! Even if it’s raining take a dip – you’re going to get wet anyway!

Stopping scrolling through Instagram and comparing lives
Obviously we love social media; it’s perfect for keeping in touch with old friends and connecting with new ones, all over the world. However, this year we are determined to stop scrolling through the news feeds and comparing our lives. Remember that everything looks better through an Instagram filter – never judge your own life against others.
Cooking a different recipe every week
Whether it’s a one-pot wonder or a three course meal, cooking new and exciting dishes is a great way to try new things and spice up the cold, dark evenings! And remember, if cooking really isn’t your thing, we serve delicious Bowgie brunch daily and our famous roasts every Sunday, so you definitely won’t go hungry if you don’t fancy yourself as a chef…
Trying something new every day
Whether it’s learning a language to train your brain or something as simple as eating that weird shaped fruit you’ve always avoided in the supermarket, we love anything that breaks out of the routine. Try a beach run, learn how to knit or volunteer at a local charity.
