Today is National Sunglasses day and it’s definitely our sort of day.
It means no makeup (in the region below the eyebrows and above the cheeks anyway)
It means we can pretend to be celebs and wear them inside as we keep a low profile and hide from the paparazzi.
It means we look infinitely cooler as soon as we pop them on, upping our street cred by 100%.
It means we always have an impromptu head band available.
It means we can stare at people without them knowing (we all do it).
It means we can look at our own reflection on the sunglasses of anyone we talk to.
However, it isn’t all positive as it also means that a few of us will lose, break or sit on a pair of sunglasses and there’s always one person that gets an odd sunglasses-shaped tan… unfortunate to say the least.
But the fact that sunglasses protect your eyes from harmful UV rays and exude utter coolness means National Sunglasses Day can only be a good thing… so put your shades on and be cool with us at The Bowgie Inn, Crantock where we will be happy to share our knowledge of sunglasses with you… for instance, did you know Elton John has over 1000 pairs? Did you know that all the bad guys in the matrix film wear rectangular framed sunglasses? We can tell you are amazed.
