It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Bowgie. The Christmas trees are dressed to the nines, our team of elves have been busy hanging lights and chatting to Santa and – to top it off – December arrived with a dusting of snow in parts of Cornwall last week!

To help everyone (even the biggest of bah-humbug’s) to get in the festive mood, we have launched our delicious Festive Drinks Menu. Featuring Christmas classics, cocktails with a Cornish twist and winter warmers, there is something for everyone to try.

Here’s the top 5…

The Snowball: If this doesn’t get you feeling festive, who knows what will! The Snowball is a classic 70s Christmas cocktail made with Warninks Advocaat, lemonade, ice and a touch of lime. It’s a fun, citrusy, creamy and refreshing drink and a quintessential Christmas cocktail. Simple and delicious.

Purple Velvet: We have used only local ingredients to make our smooth Purple Velvet. With Cornish stout from St Austell Brewery and a shot of Cornish Cassis from Atlantic Distillery, this is an indulgent and comforting treat you simply have to try at least once.

Rum Hot Chocolate: Hot chocolates are always a favourite, but they are even more tempting and delicious with a shot of Kraken Dark Rum! Topped with whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles, the rum adds warmth and richness. Slink into an armchair for the ultimate cup of Christmas.

Mulled Cider: It wouldn’t be Christmas without something mulling, and in the West Country that’s got to be cider! Rattler’s Mulled Cornish Cider is just the badger, full of flavour and warming winter spices. The perfect festive cup!

Figgy Pudding Gin: This is the ideal refreshing aperitif packed with festive flavours. Tarquin’s Figgy Pudding Gin is made with their flagship dry gin and distilled with dried fig, fresh clementine zest, festive spice and brandy-soaked cherry wood chips – put all those flavours together and you’re left with a deliciously spiced concoction.
