So… It’s Chocolate Week and we just wanted to use this blog as a way of saying thank you to whoever invented the thing that fills our days with pure joy.
Was it the Incas or Willy Wonka?
We don’t know, but all we do know is whoever invented it was an absolute genius.
We aren’t sure what one is supposed to do during Chocolate Week, so we have decided to make up our own Chocolate Week Etiquette.
1. Firstly, assume that every week is Chocolate Week.
2. Set up a chocolate shrine somewhere in your home containing offerings to the god of chocolate along with your favourite chocolate bars. Ideally you should locate the shrine away from heat sources otherwise you will end up with a messy brown puddle before the week is out.
3. Stay chocodrated and drink hot chocolate. if you can’t manage the recommended 8 litres, one cup will do – come to the Bowgie Inn and order our deluxe hot chocolate to fulfil your daily liquid chocolate quota.
4. Eat chocolate and be happy. Consume in bars or chunks, added to cakes or sprinkled over your main meal. Savour every mouthful and feel the chocolatey happiness dissipating through your body. We should point out here that we have stocked up on our warm chocolate fudge cake because your wellbeing is important to us.
As a health and safety point we want to add that you should never eat more chocolate than you can lift. As long as you observe chocolate week in the accepted way as detailed above, we are sure you will have a wonderful week chocced full of cocoa goodness!
