We all have that mate who thinks they are the lord of all knowledge. They are the expert on world issues and know everything about politics. They know about crop rotation, harvesting and even seem to know the food miles of anything you ever eat. They know the best places to go, they have holidayed everywhere you ever mention and they are a tech and sport boffin too.
No matter how many times you try to out do them with your knowledge of a topic, they always seem to have a golden nugget of information that puts your efforts to shame.
Well it stops now.
It’s time you got the upper hand and basked in the glory of being right about something for a change.
Here’s the plan…
Book yourself on to a tour of a local brewery or cider farm and learn everything there is to know about apples, hops, cornish ales, beers, ciders and whiskeys whilst enjoying a tipple or two on your way round (research purposes only of course).
Then get your mates together, bring them to the Bowgie Inn, Crantock, order a round of Skinners, Healey’s Cyder or whiskey or ales from St Austell’s Breweries then proceed to stun your mates with your superior knowledge of the drinks you are enjoying. Then hide your smirk behind your pint glass and revel in the glory of being the expert for once!
