Wow, we’ve had a blast all summer here at the Bowgie – sun, sea sand, beverages in the beer garden … but now that we’re heading towards autumn days, we’re super stoked to be packing away our flip flops and breaking out the woollies and wellies, Here’s why!
1 Tarquin’s Blackberry Gin
We all know that Tarquin’s gins have been taking the world by storm – but have you tried their delicious Blackberry and Honey flavour? Infused with 14 hand-selected botanicals, British blackberries, and a dash of sweetening Cornish wildflower honey, this mouth-watering combination is sure to hit the spot on these chillier autumn days! And according to tradition, you’re not supposed to pick blackberries after the feast of Michaelmas on the 29th of September… so if you’ve left it a bit late to get out collecting your own, drop in to see us for something dark, fruity and delicious!
2. Luxury Hot Chocolate
Whether you need warming up after a blustery walk or an exhilarating surf, or just fancy snuggling up with something sweet, warm and delicious – our Luxury Hot Chocolates are always a winner. Arriving in a BIG mug, steaming hot, and if you like, stacked with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and lots of extra goodies. They’re even available using whole, soya or coconut-soya milk, depending on what takes your fancy.
3. Bowgie Brunch
The Bowgie Brunch is the stuff of legend. Serving up the full English – fried egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, sausages, bacon, black pudding, hog’s pudding (for the proper Cornish among you!), potato wedges, beans and toast – you definitely won’t be going hungry. Served up with your choice of beverage – whether a brew, beer, bubbly or something completely different, it’s the cure to hangovers, the ultimate refuel before your next adventure, and the perfect meal to share with family and friends. Served from 11-3pm on weekdays and until 5pm on the weekend, this is truly a brunch you’ll be happy to linger over.
4. Sunday Roast
We think everyone deserves a bit of a break when the end of the week rolls around – we expect you’ve spent Monday to Friday working hard, running around, doing chores, and probably cooking for your nearest and dearest. Maybe you’ve had a bit of a late night on Saturday and feeling a bit frazzled? Well in any case, what better way to relax and unwind with a meal of epic deliciousness and proportions at the Bowgie – it’s your choice of succulent meats or fabulous veggie option for £10.95 (£8.50 for little ones). And no washing up?! Winner winner.
5. Homemade Curries
Homemade curries are just the best aren’t they? And that’s what ours are! Changing daily, you’ll have to pop in and check the specials board to see what deliciousness our chefs have been cooking up for you. Coming with a fragrant bowl of basmati rice, we’ve got the classic sides of naans, poppadoms and mango chutney lined up for a proper feast. There’s nothing like a curry tucked away in a cosy country pub on an autumn evening for indulgent comfort food with friends and family!
