It’s beginning to feel a lot like winter; frosty windscreens, dark evenings and the temperature gauge rarely rising above single figures. Luckily, we are home to a cosy atmosphere, a snuggly bar and more toppings on their hot chocolate than on your Christmas tree.
Our Storm-Watching Location
We are perched on West Pentire headland, overlooking stunning Crantock Bay. When the waves are crashing, the wind is howling and the rain is lashing down, there is no where better to be than the bar, nose against the window, pint in hand, watching the elements batter the Cornish coast.
But when the weather clears, our beer garden is the perfect place to hunt for rainbows and watch the sun go down over the horizon.
Our Warming Hot Drink Selection
Fresh coffee and frothy milk, fruit teas and hot chocolates – cosy up after a windy walk along the coast path with a steaming brew. Our famous Bowgie Hot Chocolate is a sweet treat for kids and adults alike; topped with whipped cream, marshmallows, smarties, chocolate flake and chocolate sauce. The hot drinks menu is the best way to warm up chilly fingers, pink noses and salty skin! And for the grown-ups, why not add a little liqueur to your coffee or get in the Christmas spirit with a glass of mulled cider?
Our Cosy Bar is a Home from Home
Snuggle down on comfy cushions in your fluffy socks and favourite jumper! You will feel truly at home in our cosy bar. With the woodpile stocked and your walking boots drying out, enjoy some hearty pub grub or a pint with your nearest and dearest. Nothing gets you in the festive spirit than huddling up by the fire with a glass of red in hand.
Our Cornish Spirits Collection
We are proudly home to over 25 different Cornish Gins. From Curio of the Lizard Peninsula to Trevethan of Liskeard, and Tarquins of Higher Trevibban to Wrecking Coast of Trebarwith, drink your way around Cornwall by sampling different gins from around the county.
Alongside an extensive collection of gins, the bar shelves are also stocked with rums from near and far, a glorious selection of wines ranging from across Cornwall and to South Africa, and barrels of ale, beer and cider to keep your thirst quenched and your glass full!
Our Mouth-Watering Sunday Roast
Crispy potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, tasty gravy and a selection of meats and veg – this is the incredible Bowgie Inn Sunday Roast. Guaranteed to fill your plate and your tummy, make sure you bring your appetite because portions are large! Served from 11am every Sunday, massive adult portions are £10.95 and kiddies are only £8.50. The ultimate Christmas Dinner warm-up!
