Are you into a spot of amateur dramatics?
Do you just long for an escape from the beaten track where your imagination can run wild and free?
Then Cornwall could be the solution. We’ve put together a list of places where you can unleash your supressed inner selves; places where you can indulge your imagination and places where you can just be someone else.
1. Go for Sci fi.
Pretend you are on the set of Star Wars as you explore the rocks at Holywell Bay. Jump from rock to rock hiding from the first order and let your inner wookie roam free.
2. Go for legendary.
Re-enact the legend of king Arthur at Tintagel . We imagine the rocks weren’t in such a state when Arthur lived there. In fact, he would probably be a bit disappointed to see what a poor job the care taker has done over the centuries… but with a bit of imagination you can embody Merlin or Guenivere and look for Lancelot across the moors.
3. Go for Comedy Drama.
Act out for your favourite Doc Martin Scenes as you walk round port Isaac. We are aware that Martin Clunes probably doesn’t appear in many fantasy role plays but maybe we are all missing out on a thoroughly enjoyable experience. There’s only one way to find out!
4. Go for Fantasy.
Ever wondered what it would be like to be a woodland fairy? Ever considered coming face to face with a rock troll? If the answer is yes then you need to skip around the lost gardens of Helegan sprinkling fairy dust in your wake.
5. Go for Period Drama.
Unleash your inner Victorian lord or lady of the manor at Landhydrock. Be aloof. Look down your nose at everyone you meet and bow and courtesy to your heart’s content. Landydrock provides the perfect background to even the most intense Victorian snootiness so indulge yourself.
6. Go to the Bowgie.
We had to sneak the Bowgie Inn, Crantock onto this list. With loads of live music on our bill you can’t help but be inspired within our walls and as long as you buy a drink we’ll let you pretend to be whoever you want (with in reason!)
