We love Christmas. We really really LOVE it. But it can get a bit ‘samey’. We hear the same songs on repeat for a whole month, we eat the same food, we wear the same jumpers, we decorate our houses with the same decorations and we all put our gifts under the same old tree.
We thought it would be brilliant to mix things up a little bit this year and have trawled the internet to find the best alternative Christmas Trees for your house this year!!!
1. The Egg Box Tree.
Nothing says christmas quite like a stack of boxes filled with eggs. Plus when you’re making Christmas dinner, you’ll have a useful supply of an essential ingredient close to hand.
Just don’t knock this one over… the aroma of hundreds of broken eggs soaked into your living room carpet would not be much fun come new year’s eve.
2. Minimalist Frame Tree.
If you hate clutter, filling your home with garishly mis-matched decorations would really trigger your OCD tendencies. That’s where this simple wooden frame tree comes into its own. Just nail a few planks to the wall and voila. A subtle suggestion of Christmas without a single bauble. We love it. Tres chic.
3. Rake Tree.
Ever looked for a rake, not found one so bought another one only to find the first one at a later date? We have done that several times which has lead to a glut of rakes (and brooms…. and shovels) in our garden shed. Don’t be annoyed with yourself. Turn these unfortunate multiple purchases into a stylish festive tree!
4. A Ladder Tree.
Pine needles on the floor really are a pain in the foot. You are forever vacuuming and picking out needles that have become embedded into your skin. Do away with all that this year and create the ladder tree. Dangle some baubles and you have to admit this looks pretty good. Does anyone else want to run under it and catch baubles in their mouths? No? Just us?
5. Light Tree.
You have found the box with the fairy lights in the loft but you can’t find the box with the tree or any other decorations. There is a solution! Hang the lights in triangular formation from the ceiling and you are done. Also, standing in the centre of this would make a brilliant profile picture, it’s worth creating for that single photo opportunity alone!
Have we tempted you to mix up your Christmas? Share your photos with us on Facebook, we’d love to see your creations.
