We thought we would do our bit to promote the benefits of vegetables.
Vegetables are nice. As a child you probably turned your nose up at your leafy greens or parsnips but as an adult, you know that every mouthful does your insides some good… and actually, they taste good too.
Don’t get us wrong, we like meat… but not for every single meal – we like to mix it up. Some days we go totally meat free. We know! Imagine that!
The truth is, it’s easy to be meat-free at The Bowgie Inn, Crantock, because our veggie options are so utterly delicious that we think they are good enough to turn the most carnivorous amongst you to vegetarianism; even a T-rex would be tempted away from a juicy steak by a slice of our homemade quiche.
Let us present to you our most tempting options that will really get your mouth watering and stir your inner diplodocus (because apart from the odd accidental insect consumption, they were vegetarian too!). You never know, we might inspire you to become a fully fledged Vegetarian.
1. Homemade Quiche.
Would you just look at that. Our homemade quiches are baked to perfection with fresh ingredients, flaky pastry and flavours so good you’ll be lost for words!
2. Homemade Soup.
Hot, fresh and with a crusty roll. Sublime.
3. Ratatouille.
Fresh, tomatoey vegetables with rich flavours of garlic and herbs that never fails to satisfy.
4. Cheese Toasty with Salad
Mmmm. Just look at that cheese. Slithering seductively in it’s melted form over the crust of the bread… it’s silently calling your name. It’s temptation is too much to ignore – especially with that homemade coleslaw and delicious salad!
5. Cheesy Chips.
If the above options were too ‘vegetabley’ for you, this is our back up plan. Cheesy chips offer the ultimate in comfort eating whilst at the same time providing the strongest argument for vegetarianism yet. Imagine squeezing red sauce over these potatoey beauties….
There you have it! Are you a Vegetarian yet?
