It’s that time of year again; when you are scrambling through your cupboard to put together a halloween costume that will impress your friends and hopefully be talked about for years to come.
It can be difficult to think of original ideas which is why most people resort to dressing as Witches, Vampires and Zombies. Well, it’s time things changed. Here are 5 of our favourite ideas for inspiring Halloween Costumes that are a break from the norm…. enjoy!

Nothing says ‘I’m so on trend’ like going to a halloween party dressed as a Snapchat filter. Anyone who’s anyone (so pretty much everyone) has been hooked to the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’. The character ‘Eleven’ has rather a unique look making her the perfect 2016 costume inspiration.

If you aren’t ready to shave your head in order to win the prize for the best costume, but it’s still a ‘Stranger Things’ theme you want to go for, then this costume is perfect! Channel your inner Winona, clutch a lamp and voila.

Everyone remembers the swan dress and if you want a halloween costume that’s free from fake blood and face paint then this one is for you. It’s also quite pretty which makes a refreshing change from the cobwebs and bandages.
Sadness
“Inside Out” is another new and brilliant animation. All kids are likely to be familiar with the main characters Joy, Anger and Sadness. This costume of Sadness is perfect! We think it would be pretty easy to acquire all the elements to this outfit and we’re sure we’ve seen instructions to make a glowing globe on pinterest.
