WE HAVE REACHED 15,000 LIKES ON FACEBOOK! WOOO HOOO!!!

This is a momentous occasion. One which deserves fan fairs, banners, a public holiday and most definitely a drink! 15,000 is a lot of people. It means there are 15,000 people out there who like what we do and what to be kept up to date with Bowgie News. 

If you are one of the likers, we’d love to see you so pop down to the Bowgie Inn, Crantock, and raise a celebratory toast!

Whilst you are at the bar you can join us in pondering some facts about the number 15,000.

For example; if you lay our 15,000 likers in a long line head to toe, they would cover a distance of almost 16 miles…which admittedly doesn’t sound that impressive but it’s further than the distance from Newquay to Padstow. You have to admit, it would be an unusual sight to see all those people lying end to end.

15,000 is about 28% of the population of Cornwall – which theoretically would mean that one in every four people you met liked us on Facebook. But only if all our likers were Cornish. However, we know the allure of The Bowgie has global appeal. We have people from all over the world getting in touch with us on Facebook….not just Cornish Folk.

So just imagine this scenario….

Each of our likers on Facebook would have on average 100 friends. When they like a post of ours, all their friends could see that post too. So – if every person who liked our page liked the same post, it would be seen by 1.5 million people…..and if all of those people liked that post we could reach 150 million people…which is more than the population of Russia…. and that would be pretty epic!!
