The 1st best thing about the Easter Weekend is chocolate. The 2nd best thing is the fact its a four day weekend. 4 whole days of no responsibilities. 4 whole days of lie-ins and chocolate for breakfast and not checking your emails until well after lunch (or maybe not at all).
4 day weekends don’t come along very often so make the most of it. Here is our Top Five List of Things to Do the Easter Weekend in Cornwall!
1. Hunt out more chocolate!
Just in case you feel you are lacking in chocolate, there are Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts taking place across the county and a eggtastic one is happening right here in Crantock!!! It’s just £2 per trail Click here to find out more .
2. Find the Lost Gardens of Heligan
Why? Because they have gone all Easter-ish with real hatching chicks and all sorts. Everyone loves a freshly hatched, fluffy little chick – they symbolise all that is beautiful, innocent and good in the world so prepare to be made to feel all warm and fuzzy inside when you see a fluff ball of chirping feathers. They have also arranged for an emu egg hunt around their stunning grounds. If you have never seen an emu egg before, we’ll give you a clue – they are big and turquoise! You can also get crafty and feed the chickens so this is definitely an Easter outing the whole family can enjoy.
3. Go for a Walk!
Get your boots on, wrap up warm and walk the coastal path and enjoy the beauty that is Cornwall. The best thing about this is it’s totally free! We’ve put together a list of a few of our favourite walks so click here for suggested routes and maps.
4. Explore Crantock Beach
Crantock beach is stunning this time of year. The fresh sea air and the stretches of golden sand never fail to make everyone feel happy. You can explore the rock pools and the caves and you might even be lucky enough to stumble across the rock carvings…then of course, you can head up to the pink pub on the headland for a drink and a bite to eat!
5. Join us for our famous Sunday Roast On Easter Sunday.
You could slave away in the kitchen for hours to prepare your own Sunday Roast to celebrate Easter with your friends and family…or you could come here and let us do it for you. The bank holiday weekend also means it’s totally acceptable to drink a pint/ wine at midday. Cheers.
